Abstract: I will present an ongoing work with Paulos, van Rees and Zhao on
a new approach to analyze non-perturbative properties of the S-matrix in
quantum field theories. The basic strategy is to put a quantum field
theory in Anti-de-Sitter space, analyze the correlators on the boundary,
and take the flat space limit in the end. As was discussed by Callan and
Wilczek, the AdS space acts as a symmetry-preserving IR regulator and
allows us to constrain the boundary correlators by the AdS isometries
(which coincide with the conformal group in d-1 dimensions). I will
explain when such procedures work and discuss what can be said from this
approach. |
