Research:

My research focuses on observational studies of nearby galaxies. I am interested in the nature of nearby gas-rich galaxies, with particular attention given to the lowest and highest HI mass galaxies identified in the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA Survey (ALFALFA). I am also trying to characterize the host galaxies of some core-collapse supernovae, so as to shed light on the origin of long-duration GRB.
